We are proud to share that our colleague, Zoltán Papp, recently participated in the “Trends and New Developments in Laser Technology” Summer School organized by Technische Universität Dresden and Fraunhofer IWS.
The five-day program brought together more than 50 participants from 16 countries and covered a wide range of laser material processing technologies, including cutting, welding, surface treatment, micro-structuring, and metal additive manufacturing.
Beyond the technical sessions, the summer school provided valuable insights into the latest advances in laser technology. Zoltán also had the opportunity to present his research, exchange ideas with fellow researchers, and connect with leading experts from academia and industry.
A particular highlight was the laboratory tour at Fraunhofer IWS, where participants gained firsthand insight into advanced laser technologies. Among the showcased facilities was the Direct Energy Deposition (DED) facility, demonstrating cutting-edge additive manufacturing capabilities for titanium components.
